Short CV: Christian Rupp is one of the pioneers of digitalisation in Europe. In 1994, he developed the first Internet platform in Austria (Chamber of Commerce), in 1997, as eBusiness Representative, the Internet roadshow Telefit, and from 2003 onward, he was appointed as the Federal Executive Secretary for E-Government of the Austrian Federal Government by the Federal Chancellor and was spokesperson of the Platform Digital Austria in the Chancellery until 2018 (today called Federal CDO). From 2016-2019, he was also the Plenipotentiary for Digitalisation in the Chamber of Commerce and Head of the SME Digital Offensive.
Christian Rupp developed Digital/eGovernment Strategies for more than 12 countries worldwide (EMEA, especially Westbalkan, Northafrica, Arab Region and West Asia).
He teaches digitalisation at the University of Applied Sciences and Academy of Administration in Austria, has written more than 30 books and has a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence.
In 2019, he co-founded the Joint eGov and Open Data Innovation Lab at the University of Lübeck and in 2021 the Innovation Mine for Artificial Intelligence in North Rhine-Westphalia and Saarland. He is also a board member of the National E-Government Competence Centre in Berlin and the UN WSIS WSA.
