Important Information
Enterprise Information Management (EIM) is a 6 ECTS module and both the Lecture and Exercise components must be taken together in Summer Semester 2023.
The Bachelor's course EIM will be delivered in presence mode with online elements for the Summer Semester of 2023. All basic material and content will be presented in class on campus. Additional information will be available online. The course begins in the first week of the lecture period.

First Exercise: 25.04.2023 08:30 - 10:00 in A120 for Stream 1 and 26.04.2023 08:30 - 10:00 in F414 for Stream 2
During the course, students are required to submit fortnightly assignments. The full course schedule will be published in the course community in UniConnect (see below).
Course Information
This course provides an integrated view of managing information across its entire lifecycle, from its creation, through organisation and uses to its final archiving and/or destruction. Specific attention is paid to maximising the overall value of information within an organisation and meeting increasingly complex information compliance requirements.

- Documents and document management
- Information lifecycle management
- Document and records management systems
- Information asset management
- Information governance and compliance
Course Entry Requirements
To participate in this course in Summer Semester 2023 you must:
First, register for the course in KLIPS before the first session (“Veranstaltungsnummer: 0441015”). Students must be registered in KLIPS.
Second, create a UniConnect account. If you do not have a UniConnect account please register for an account via the UniConnect self-service using your university e-mail address (detailed instructions see here). All students enrolled for the course in KLIPS will be added to the community in UniConnect.
Third, receive further information about the course in the community in UniConnect. Follow the instructions provided there, for example, on group formation for the exercise and case study.
If you do not meet these requirements, you will not be able to take the course in the Summer Semester of 2023.

Course Materials
All course materials will be placed for enrolled and registered students in the course community in UniConnect. All documents (presentation slides, script, literature) will be in English.
Assessment Information
Note: The examination work is in English.
The assessment for this module is in two parts:
Students must complete both assessment items individually to pass the module. Each item is equal to 50% of the final module grade.
